When using the tool, you get the same answers as if you’d called and spoken with an IRS representative on the phone. You can print out the answers for your records. You can also use the Individual Shared Responsibility Payment Estimator, which can help you estimate the amount you may have to pay if you did not have minimum essential coverage during the year.
