Feb. 26, 2025 — A pair of Charlotte businessmen were sentenced today in federal court for failing to account for and pay over to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) more than $150,000 in trust fund taxes over five quarters in 2016 and 2017, announced Lawrence J. Cameron, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

Restaurant owner sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment for tax violations that cost the government almost $1.2 million
March 26, 2024 — United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that Yong Chun (“Steven”) Guo of Wyomissing, PA, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Joseph F. Leeson, Jr. to 30 months in federal prison for tax crimes. Guo was also ordered to pay restitution of $1,172,368 and a $95,000 fine.
