Once you’ve completed a Paycheck Checkup, review the results and, if necessary, change the amount of tax your employer takes out of your paycheck. Ways to avoid an unexpected result at tax time: On Form W-4, change your withholding or have an extra flat-dollar amount withheld from each paycheck. Submit the form to your employer. Make estimated tax payments to the IRS throughout the year.
