Error
The Standard Deduction you entered on Form 1040, line 12, does not match your other entries.
Solution
Enter the correct Standard Deduction or ensure your Schedule A is correct and attached to your return.
Enter the Standard Deduction of $16,550 on Form 1040, line 12, when your return has this information
- Your Filing status is single and
- You did not check the box "Someone can claim you as a dependent" and
- You checked a box in the "Age/Blindness indicator and
- Schedule A is not attached to your return
Forms and schedules must be complete before they can attach and transmit with your return. If Schedule A does not print, it is not complete.
Make the correction(s) and resubmit.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
