The program concluded December 31, 2013 and we are no longer accepting applications. The results provided below are for historical reference only.

The IRS, in conjunction with the Department of Health and Human Services, approved applications for projects that showed significant potential to produce new and cost-saving therapies, support jobs and increase U.S. competitiveness under the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project program. The IRS determined the credit or grant amount for each approved project.

Under the program, the IRS allocated a total of $1 billion for credits and grants with a $5 million limit per each eligible applicant. After the initial allocation, certain approved applicants requested certification of an amount less than what was initially allocated or requested a grant instead of a credit consistent with IRS guidance. These changes are reflected in the projects shown, updated as of July 20, 2012. Since awards were made by project, applicants who submitted more than one project that received a grant or credit may be listed more than once.
