Spouse information is missing from your return.
Solution
If your filing status is Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately, the IRS requires the spouse's name to be entered.
- Enter the spouse's name exactly as it appears on their Social Security card.
- Make sure the name is entered in the correct spouse fields.
After making the correction, resubmit your return.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
