Solution
The spouse SSN on the return has an associated Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN)
Enter the spouse 6-digit IP PIN at the bottom of the return where it says: "If the IRS sent your spouse an Identity Protection PIN, enter it here"

Make the correction(s) and resubmit.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
