The Registration System displays FATCA IDs in uppercase letters only; however, if you have letters in your FATCA ID, the system will accept in either uppercase or lowercase when logging on. Note that the letter O is not used in the FATCA ID. If you see what appears to be an O, it should be entered as the number zero. Only one person can access the FATCA Account at a time. Each FATCA Registration System authorized user will be required to create or sign in to an existing Login.gov or ID.me account to access their FATCA accounts. If someone else is logged into the account, you will receive the message “The FATCA ID is locked because the FI registration is being edited by another User with the same FATCA ID.” You may also receive this message if the session timed out while using the application, if you lost Internet connectivity, or if you closed your browser without clicking on the logout button. Allow the system time to clear the lock and try again later. Member financial institution: If you are a member financial institution, enter the complete 12-character FATCA ID, including the period. If you do not know the FATCA ID and are the RO or POC for the FI account, contact the Responsible Officer or one of the Points of Contacts for FATCA ID.
