Jan. 17, 2024 You may get a Form 1099-K by the end of January 2024 for selling goods or services in tax year 2023. Form 1099-K, Payment Card and Third Party Network Transactions, is used to report payments for goods and services by apps, online marketplaces and bank cards to the IRS. Apps and marketplaces are required to send a Form 1099-K to you if your payments exceeded $20,000 with over 200 transactions, but they could issue you one if you're below those amounts for payments. Remember, all income from selling goods or services is taxable even if you don't get a Form 1099-K. To find out more, visit What to do with Form 1099-K.
