The 2023 reference price for qualified natural gas production from qualified marginal wells was published and the marginal well production credit in 2023 is phased out completely. For tax year beginning in 2023 the credit for natural gas production and crude oil production is completely phased out. See Notice 2023-58 for full guidance.
